Lead Teacher – Confidential Early Learning Program

Locations: Athens • Watkinsville • Bogart, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: $17.00–$21.00/hour (based on education & experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our growing early childhood program, serving the Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart areas. In this role, you will nurture young learners, build meaningful relationships, and create engaging classroom experiences that support each child’s development. Your work directly helps shape the foundation of learning for our students.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum supporting literacy, social-emotional development, and physical growth
  • Create a nurturing, engaging, and structured learning environment
  • Use positive guidance and effective classroom management strategies
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress to individualize learning
  • Maintain strong communication with families regarding student development
  • Encourage creativity and curiosity through hands-on exploration and play


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
  • Meets all state licensing requirements, including background checks
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans for learners with diverse needs
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and actively participate in classroom activities
